Ok then, once all the assembly was done then it was onto the cleanup.
Each of the lit windows had a few millimeters of fibre optic sticking out,
they were solid lumps if you recall the thin cyano.

So these were all trimmed back and smooth sanded flush with the hull as
part of the cleanup in prep for painting.
Now the fiddly bit comes in, each lit window was covered
with a small piece of masking tape and the area was airbrushed black to sharpen the line.

Then masking tape was applied to some of the black area to simulate the unlit windows.
Once done the whole ship was sprayed with a special mix of a medium
blue/grey with just a drop or two of silver.
