Time to put my foot down...

And Give This Beastie Its Feet.

Welcome back gang!
Okedoke then, The cannon has a turntable at the front which looks like this...

The kit parts look like this...

At the rear we have a float and pan which serves as the gun traverse.
Looks like this...

And the corresponding kit parts look like this...

I had started to shave off detail 'for I took that pic.

Well we all know what's going to happen here so polygon punching time!

Kit parts trimmed, stuff printed and some super glue earned it's keep.

The turntable base got some styrene chips for the hook supports and said hooks got drilled and carved out.

And paintwork did indeed happen!

Carriage sides got a couple of coats of Tamiya TS-28 Olive Drab,
followed up with the black panel line accent wash.

Several drybrush coats, decal and matt varnish action got the desired effect.

Some small bits also printed to be cleaned up for the later paint and fitting routine.

Time for fitting the wiring/piping thing!
And 'twas a done deal.

So that bit sorted, both sides brought together without fuss.

A couple of last bits of detail,
the M1 Elevation Quadrant to go on the right trunnion and the M12 Panoramic Telescope for the left trunnion.
Meshed up a treat.

Usual fun & games had, painted up and in place along with the elevation and traverse wheels.

Nice!

Feet, tie bars and cross jack leveler attached.
Ladders also painted and fitted on.

Last bit of detail attachment.
The shell lifting davit got its cable and hook sorted.

And that's pretty much it for the cannon.

Aye, that'll about do it!

Trucks up next and that's for the next update.
You merry mob go easy out there now and i'll see ya then.
