It will not surprise you but I got me some issues...

Issues 3 to 6 As it Happens!

Welcome back all and here we do go.
Right, did some assembly of the back end bits.

A little bit of drybrushing in Vallejo German grey on the black bits,
grey acid etch primer on the rear body part, bring it all together with a few screws
and lob some acrylic matt varnish over the lot.

I fitted a couple of SMD LEDs in to the tag lights above the licence plate.

That pretty much does for that bit.
I assembled the front suspension arms and associated bits along with the plutonium chamber lid.

More faffing about with those parts to come.

Now to the bodywork question.

As noted on the first page, the bodywork is a bit beaten up...
Well maybe more than a bit...

But first, a change of tone in the brushed steel finish.

The supplied parts have a slight almost gold like hue to them, the movie one i'm doing is deffo more grey.

I decided to get a spare part off eBay and went at it.
It took some doing as the factory paint is pretty tough stuff but done and then sanded
the plating under said paint almost down to the raw copper casting.

Once happy with that and the brushed effect about what I wanted,
then came some Alclad ii stainless steel airbrushed on then coated with Alclad light sheen varnish.

Comparison shots below, stock part to the top...

About what i'm after so now to dent and bullet hole the hell out of it!
So paint will be stripped off and it shall be gone at with grinders/drills/sanders/whatevergetsthejobdone.

That's for next time so see you merry mob then!
