Primer, gloss black, alclad, airbrush...

They Work
Now Let's See if The Builder Does.

Are there you are, good oh!
Right then troops and troopettes, in to the last bit's o' sodding
about for the bike wreckage deal.
The front end and forks first up.
Forks duly bent and the oversize hand grips added.

Well he do got rather large mitts.

Also the brake/clutch levers added, one hanging buy the cable.
Like so.

All set and ready there, proceed to paintwork!

So to the tank thingy.
The original got the rubber treatment and one cast out.

The front got a relatively severe denting up.
This was perpetrated by a 1/4" drum sanding bit in the mini drill,
applied to the surface in a fairly firm fashion to get the basic dents done
then the whole thing was rubbed down with some fine grade steel wool
just to soften the edges slightly.
Lastly, a wipe over with lacquer thinners and in mit der primer.
Tamiya light grey fine surface primer is my weapon of choice here.

A goodly dose of Plastikote gloss black enamel from a rattle can.

That got left for 24hrs to settle down and once that was so,
out with the Alclad ii chrome, airbrush loaded and away we went!

Nice eh?

Skeletal hands picked out in Vallejo ivory followed
by just a wee dab of enamel matt black wash here and there.

Looks about right so onward!

Same sort of paint treatment sling toward the exhaust pipes,
front fork mess and the front tire.

And finally, just a push fit dry assembly of the front forks and tire.

And that pretty much completes the bike wreckage stuff as it were.

Next up will be the beginning of the base work.
Which should be another regular laugh riot should it not?

Join me for that one next update my friends!
You merry lot take care and go easy out there now.
