Fill, Sand And Paint.
Fill,SandAndPaint.
FillSandAndPaint...

This Phil Sandnpaint Bloke Is Starting To Annoy Me.

Howdo all!
Well the Christmas thing is pretty much done and I hope you all had a good and safe one.
So as a last gasp 'fore new year 2009 in a couple of hours...
Here we do go while I can still see straight rather than TUI on a PC.

So then, the PE limber hole parts attached and in order to save much fairing in, some long strips of .25mm plasticard were cut and glued merrily on.
Like so...

Cheating I know but by fair means or foul I say.
So much of the filler, sanding and painting took place with just a wee amount of scribing for good measure
and we wind up with summat along the lines of this...

During all this nonsense, the hatch doors on the side of the sail got chiseled off in prep for the PE additions.
Which when sliced off the fret and assembled look uncannily like this.

Somewhat neat and clean so without further fuss, glued into position.

Now onto some of the smaller detail on the top of the sail, namely the sail bridge and so on.
Slight problem here was the moulding sink holes as sometimes occour with injection mould stuff.

So to fill and smooth or to cheat again.
Well with me it's a no brainer so out with the plasticard again and in with the PE extras.

So then some more of the fill and sand work to hopefully clean up the last of the surface defects on the top hull and wade in with the primer.

Not looking too shabby so far.
Next on the hit list for working on, the diving bell/minisub bay and doors and also the louvers on the engines...

Oh rapture!

And that be the lot for this update and this year in general.

If the past year has been good to you then long may it continue into '09.
If it's been kinda crap then I wish you a much better year in '09.
For me...

It's just been the same old same old :)

Take care, good luck, good health, good times and go easy all !!
