Like the party guest that just won't leave...
It's That Phil Sandnpaint Bloke Again.
Welcome back troops and troopettes!
Yep, more filler, sanding and priming.
So last time the diving bell/minisub bay was installed and given a lick o' filler, then came the clean up.
Long story short, the result was as follows...

That duly sorted and given a stern look to behave itself, on to the bay doors.
Now if I may mention I am no fan of the show as such, I like the hardware yes but that's as far as it goes.
That said, I sort of went with the general layout of just the doors which will hang there open and no fussing about other than that.
Details of such things from screen caps a bit sketchy so decide to go with what looks about like it should.
First up and not seeing the need to be absolutely contour perfect, the lump originally cut out of the hull was used.
Simply back filled with auto repair putty, sanded smooth ane that made a good enough vac-forming buck.
So 1mm plasticard, given the vac tratment and a wee bit of trimming up.
Like so.

Sorted and squared, time for some detailing bits.
Out mit der .25mm plasticard, pencil sharpened, lines did get drawn and holes did get drilled.

After much trimming and faffing about, these were glued on with some 1mm square strip thrown on.
Add to this a few dusting coats of primer and them bay doors be delt with.

I think that merits a 'hoorah' for our side gang.
So Finally, a very small dot of cyano each end and a tack in position for the inevitable piccie taking thing.

And that will do nicely ta very much!
Well that's ya lot for now, the final bit of major headscratching next.
The engine louvers...lord save us all.
Untill next time, go easy people!
