Out with the gear and...
Time To Bang Away At The Diving Bell.
For want of a better title to start the page.
So then, this here diving bell thingy, a fairly simple build...well it would be simple if I were someone else less crazy.
Anyway, taking said parts and letting the drill have a go at 'em.
Portholes drilled out, spotlights also, inside painted black then a lick of white to finish.

That done then time for the redoutable 3mm LED.
Fitted with some epoxy to help it stay where it's damn well put and glue both sides together.

Then came the fiberoptic faffing for the spotlights, just summat I thought i'd try for no other reason than having a go.
The 0.5mm hole in the middle of the spotlamps carried out the back of said lamps and through the side of the bell.
Small pieces of FO cut, inserted then portholes filled with clear epoxy.
When done and trimmed, a brief seam cleanup, some matt black around the seam for final light blocking.
Some rough masking and a dab or three of grey then white primer followed and it kinda wound up like this.

And not forgetting the ineviatble battery hookup and piccies.

Well a semi success.
The portholes will get a coat of Tamiya smoke to dull them a bit when the paintwork is complete.
Shame the spotlamps were not brighter but can't win 'em all.
This will be hooked up by way of two wires that will run up into the diving bell/minisub bay.
The wires made from two strands of 0.2 wire spun together then silver soldered.
Should look pretty enough, more on that later.
At this point, the FS-1 was given a filler/rubdown/rough mask and primer job.
Didn't turn out too bad.

And of course, more lighting pics as for some reason they do seem popular.
No idea why but ah well.

Okedoke then, the chrome yellow is on standby and will be used, results next update people!
That be the lot for now, you lot go easy out there.
