Ya Know, Wire It Up... Flick The Switch... Hope For The Best.
Greetings all! Well now, the rats nest of wiring as taken care of as it's going to get so testing time. The main window lights and nav/strobes are slaved together. As it happens nothing went bang when the switch was thrown. Nacelle not attached for this set, these were taken before final hookup and full deal test. That said though, the continuity tester, or yellow box of bleeping noise as I call it, made all the right sounds when probes applied to bare wire ends so all good. All the light sets are independant switches. Looks a bit like this in the large lot of 'Lights off...Lights on' pile o' pics below.
And the window cleaner has been fired...
Replacement guy on his way... RCS lights next.
And so to the secondary hull.
Strongback spots.
Neck spots
Saucer underside.
And top saucer.
And the cloverleaf lights thing on the underside of the saucer should it be wished with the flick of a switch.
The light output is rigged to go brighter using extra LEDs under the bridge section for example. This happens when the spot lights are switched on. Like so.
And not forgetting the hangar/cargobay light option.
The floor sweeper needs to up his game as well.
And not forgetting... Also... The badly shot test vid curtosey of YouTube dontchaknow.
If you want to view the raw AVI file then by all means do the right click, 'Save Target As...' thing on this here waffle.
Beware that it's almost a 21MB file so may take a while 'fore it's all on ya HD.
Well not looking too shabby. Mucho pics still to sort, more on that next update. You merry lot go easy now!
